Curriculum Resources
Curriculum Resources
At Morgan County Schools, we are committed to providing students with a high-quality, well-rounded education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life. As part of that commitment, we utilize a variety of instructional resources to support teaching and learning across all grade levels.
It is important to understand that curriculum resources are just that—resources. The Alabama Course of Study serves as the official curriculum that guides instruction in every classroom. Our teachers use these state standards as the foundation for what students are expected to know and be able to do.
While the resources listed below have been formally adopted by the Morgan County Schools Board of Education, they are not the sole materials used in instruction. Our teachers have both the freedom and the expectation to thoughtfully curate additional materials to meet the needs of their students and to provide a complete, engaging, and well-rounded educational experience.
Because of this, the most accurate reflection of what is taught in any classroom is found in:
- The Alabama Course of Study, and
- The individual teacher’s syllabus and instructional plans
The resources below represent the primary tools that support instruction across our district.
