SAVE THE DATE! On February 20 at 5:00 p.m., our school will host local attorney Patrick Caver for a FREE community meeting on social media and the law. This meeting is for ADULTS only; we will have supervised activities for students during this time. Mr. Caver will address jr high students the next day during school.*
Discussion will center around social media usage by minors. Social media is at the fingertips of any child with a smartphone or tablet. Mr. Caver is on a mission to educate parents about the dangers of seemingly innocent apps, chat rooms etc.
Attendees are welcome to bring along their children’s electronics, so he can demonstrate rather than just explain how things work. Reference his Facebook page, "Birds & Bees and the Law", and the below article for more information.
*Parents who want to exempt their child from the February 21 presentation will need to return a form which is linked HERE.
