What if I fail to submit my recertification paperwork prior to June 30 of the renewal year?

Failure to renew a certificate will result in the teacher’s certification being cancelled.  It is vitally important for all certified personnel to meet all requirements for certificate renewal in a timely manner.  If a certificate is cancelled, the certified employee will be required to resubmit for a new certificate that could include Praxis II and BCT testing, fingerprinting, and other requirements.


Who do  I need to call the Alabama Department of Education (ALSDE) to ask questions about certification, Praxis II, or recertification?
