Welcome to third grade! My name is Stacy Beavers and I'm very excited to have the opportunity to teach your child this year. Falkville has been my home since the middle of first grade. I graduated from Falkville High School and went on to the University of North Alabama to get my teaching degree. I later went to the University of Alabama in Birmingham to get my masters degree in elementary education. Now I am spending my 25th year at Falkville Elementary School. I can't imagine being anywhere other than Falkville and getting to teach our future community leaders.

I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family. Tim and I have been married for the past 20 years and have two amazing children, Julie and Cedric, both of which are students at Falkville High School. I stay rather busy between football, basketball, indoor track, and outdoor track. I also enjoy spending time with a little stray kitten, the Beast, that has brought a lot of entainment to our family.

My name is April Burgess and I am a graduate of Good Hope High School in Cullman, AL.  In addition to my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master of Science in School Counseling, and Post Master Certificate in Educational Leadership, I have 8 years’ experience as a school counselor with a total of 14 years in education. I am dedicated to collaborating with others to establish or maintain a school counseling program that meets the ASCA standards of academic, career, and personal social domains.  I plan to provide individual and group counseling sessions to all students regarding college and career awareness, academic achievement, and social and emotional health.  In the next year or two, I plan to pursue an EDS degree in Educational Leadership. 

I have been married to Justin Burgess for 22 years.  Together we have two boys.  Both boys are currently in college. Our oldest son, Logan, attends Athens State while our youngest son, Lawson, attends Huntingdon College in Montgomery.  In my spare time, I enjoy running, exercising, and spending time with my family.

Hello, my name is Kelsey Crow and I am your child’s school nurse. I have been married to my husband, Justin, for 7 years. We have three children, Adelynne, Kardyn, and Ridleigh Kate. I am from Giles County Tennessee and a graduate of J. F. Drake Technical College. I have been a nurse for 4 years and I am beyond thankful to call Falkville Elementary my home! When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family, watching the St. Louis Cardinals play ball, shopping, traveling and of course SEC football! Geaux Tigers! 

My name is Mrs. Gennifer Dyer, and I teach Pre-K at FES.  I live in Vinemont. I grew up in Cullman and graduated from Cullman High School.  I graduated from Athens State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  I earned a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Alabama.

I am married to Jared, and we have 4 precious children – Macie Grace, Nolan, Kalen, and Tatum.  My favorite hobbies are gardening, birding, and spending time with my family.

My name is Annette Frost, I have been an aide at FES for 15 years. Before that I subbed for 5. I have been married to Roger for 43 years. We have three sons. They all graduated from Falkville High school. I have one great daughter-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter. 

I have been in education for 16 years. This is my third year at FES. I used to be at West Morgan Elementary.  I am a graduate of Falkville High School.  I am married with 3 beautiful children.  Go Blue Devils! 

Hello, I am Mrs. Christy Hill. I graduated from Hartselle High and Athens State University. I teach 5^th grade at FES. My husband is Alton Hill and we have 2 beautiful daughters, Emily and Ellie Cate.

Hi, my name is Mr. Hopper, and I am proud to call Falkville Elementary School my home. I came from a family of teachers and always knew that I wanted to become a teacher myself. I enjoy helping others and pushing them to learn and grow. I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Madison, Alabama in 2011 after receiving an Associates degree from Crafton Hills College in Southern California. I knew from a young age that I wanted to move to Alabama which is where my grandfather grew up and as a young child I spent a lot of time in Alabama. I have a bachelor’s degree in special education from Athens State University. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family. I have two beautiful daughters and a supportive and loving wife. On my days off I enjoy traveling with my family and spending as much time on Smith Lake as I can. I also enjoy volunteering with the BUDS (Bringing Up Down Syndrome) group of North Alabama.

Hello, my name is Cathy Ivey and I currently teach Speech at FES. I am from Arab and graduated high school from Arab High. I attended the University of Montevallo where I earned my bachelor's degree.

I have a really big family of two aunts, one uncle and lots of cousins.  My favorite hobbies are reading traveling and staying home with my wonderful dogs. My favorite thing about FES is how everyone is family!!

My name is Julia James and I have been teaching gifted and talented students in Morgan County since 2013.  I received a Bachelors Degree in Secondary English Language Arts from Auburn University in 1988 and a Masters in Education with Gifted Certification from Samford University in 2015. Since becoming a TAG teacher I have taught at Eva, Union Hill, Sparkman, Priceville Junior High School, and now Falkville Elementary. I have been married to my husband, Ken, for 33 years. We have four grown children who are all married and have given us 10 wonderful grandchildren. I love the challenge and excitement of teaching gifted students and look forward to teaching the TAG students at FES. 

I have been enjoying my job for 24 years at FES.  I have been married to Don for 36 years.  We have 7 kids, 3 son-in-laws, and 1 daughter-in-law, and 10 granddaughters. Our youngest 2 sons attend FHS. 

Hello! My name is Mallory Jones. I am the PreK Auxiliary teacher and I coach volleyball and softball at Falkville High School. I am currently completing my degree in Elementary Education. I am married and we have three beautiful children, Cooper, Colin, and Paizlee. 

I grew up in Cullman and graduated from Cullman High School. I attended Wallace State in Hanceville and graduated from Athens State with a degree in Elementary Education. After college, I got married and moved to Auburn.  I taught third grade in Lee County while my husband completed his graduate degree.  We moved to Seneca, South Carolina where I taught first grade and kindergarten.  I stopped full time teaching after my son was born, and we moved back to Cullman.  I was very involved in my children’s education and would substitute teach, coach soccer, and participate in booster club activities. Most recently, before coming to Falkville, I taught kindergarten at Good Hope Primary.  I chose a career in education because I love being around children and watching them learn and grow.  

I have been married for 25 years and have two children. My son is a junior at Auburn University, and my daughter is a senior at Cullman High.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking care of my dogs and cats, and helping my husband take care of cattle on the farm.

My name is Mrs. Lori Kyker and I teach 3rd grade at FES. I am from Hartselle. I graduated from Hartselle High. I attended UNA and Athens State University for my bachelor’s degree and the University of West Alabama for my master’s.  I have been the FES Student Council sponsor.

I am married to Joey and we have 3 beautiful children – Addison, Ella, and Emma. My favorite hobby reading.  My favorite activity to do with my students is science experiments! I am very thankful that I work at FES where our staff is one big family.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Letha Lewis and I currently teach 2nd grade at FES. I am from Lacey’s Spring and am a proud Brewer High School Patriot, class of ’99.  I attended Calhoun Community College and Athens State University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. 

I am married to David, my very hunky husband and we have our son, Taylor and our daughter, Sydney.  I have a few hobbies. I love watching college football – Roll Tide!! I love bargain shopping, running/jogging, although I’m slower than a turtle in peanut butter, but I do run and I love playing outside with my kiddos. My favorite thing about FES is I really do love that we do not have hallways!  Spring and Fall are absolutely beautiful around our campus. Winter not so much :) 

Hello, my name is Mrs. Julie McAbee and I currently teach 2nd grade at FES. I am from Hartselle and graduated from Hartselle High. I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Athens State in 1993 and my master's degree in elementary education from UAB in 1997.  This is my 27th year of teaching in Morgan County Schools.  I taught first grade for 18 years before moving to teach 2nd grade.    I have been a proud Falkville Blue Devil since 2015.  I taught at both Sparkman Elementary and Priceville Elementary before coming to FES.

My husband and I have been married for 23 years.  We have one son who is 16.  I love spending time with my family and being outside in nature.

I like spending quiet time outside (reading for pleasure outside especially; and growing flowers).

My favorite thing about FES - The PTO, faculty and staff here are genuinely kind and loving.  I have never felt as loved and appreciated as I do here at FES.  We are not just people who work together, we truly feel like family, and I hope to stay here for many years.

My name is Marnie McClellan. I have been a kindergarten teacher for the last 22 years.  This year I am the Learning Interventionist.  I graduated from Athens State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and I received a master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  I have four handsome guys in my life:  my husband, my two boys, and a furry cat. I love teaching Kindergarten because it is amazing to see the growth in young children within a school year. I am a passionate person that believes that hard work is what makes a person successful. I make it a goal to work hard every day to encourage and prepare children to be future leaders in the community.

My name is Paula Owens. I am the Reading Coach at FES. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2001, and master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2018. 

My husband and I have 3 grown children. We have our 3 dogs and a cat. I love all things fall including college fall. I am an avid Alabama football fan. Roll Tide!! 

My name is Patti Ozbolt. I am in my 32nd year of teaching at FES. All of those years except one have been in 1st grade.  This year I am teaching Kindergarten!! Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband Barry. Together we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. We love the beach and enjoy watching sports, especially Auburn football.

Welcome to 1st grade!!  This is my third year at Falkvile Elementary. I also taught 4th grade at Danville-Neel Elementary for many years.  I love being at FES and enjoy every day in the sunshine.  In my spare time I like going to the beach and spending time with my family.

Hello, my name is Laura Reeves. I have been at Falkville Elementary School for almost 20 years. I love being here for the children. My goal is to help keep a safe clean environment. I have been married for 26 years, I have a daughter, a son in-law and a granddaughter. I love my little family at home, but I also love my great big family here at Falkville Elementary.

Hi! I’m Christa Sandlin. I am a graduate of Falkville High School and Athens State University with a dual degree in elementary and special education.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have a beautiful baby boy. Teaching is my passion, and I am so honored to get to pour into the community that poured into me.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Linda Self and I currently teach 5th grade at FES. I am from Cullman and graduated high school from Cullman High. I attended Wallace State Community College and Auburn University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. War Eagle!  At FES I have taught 1st grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and 6th grade through the years. I have coached the math team in the past. 

I am married to Chris and we have 4 beautiful children - my sons Patrick and Ben, my step-daughter Alicia, and step-son Andrew.  My favorite hobby is reading. I can say my most memorable experience at FES was being chosen the Teacher of the Year. My favorite thing about FES is the wonderful children I teach every day!!

Jessica Scott is a native of Dothan, Alabama where she graduated with honors in 2004 from Dothan High School. She attended The University of West Alabama in Livingston where she received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. She also obtained her Master's Degree in Library Media from The University of West Alabama. This is her ninth year in education. She is married to Josh Scott and together have three children, twin angels Madden and Maddox, and a five year old son, Tatum. Her hobbies include traveling and reading. Her favorite thing about FES is the feeling of being a part of a family.

My name is Jill Smith.   I have been teaching at FES for 27 years, (26 of those have been in First Grade).  This year I will be teaching Kindergarten!!   I love the Falkville community and of course FES!

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, road trips, and EVERY holiday season.

I am a retired classroom teacher with Morgan County.  I have come to FES for a second career as a Reading Interventionist.  I help our sweet students with reading skills and comprehension.  My husband's name is Philliip, and my children are Stephanie and Garrett.  We love to go camping.  Go Blue Devils!!!

My name is Laurie Smith. I've been at Falkville Elementary since 2000.  Currently, I teach Kindergarten.  My husband and I live in Falkville.  We have two children, two grandchildren, three dogs, three pigs, and one cat.

Hello, my name is Dee Summerford. I am the Office Assistant at Falkville Elementary School. I spend my time away from FES chasing my two boys around, they keep me busy with soccer and basketball. I love my job and the students of FES. FES is the BEST!

Hello, my name is Mrs. Carol Tyler and I currently teach 4th grade at FES. I graduated from Falkville High School. I attended Wallace State Community College and Athens State University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  

I am married to my husband of 45 years, Mike. We have 3 daughters – Lori Tyler Smith, Carrie Tyler Constance, and Lela Tyler Weeks – and 6 grandchildren.

My favorite hobbies are reading and singing. I have so many memorable experiences at FES.  One of them is when studying which types of wood float best, I asked a student what kind of wood he would use to build a boat. (I thought he would say the kind that we had learned about.)  He said," Gopher wood!  That's what Noah used to build the ark!"  My favorite thing about FES is the traditions, school spirit, lifelong relationships and friendships, and the “coziness” and small-town feeling.

Hello, my name is Luke Tucker and I teach 4th grade. I graduated from West Point High School in Cullman County and recently graduated from Athens State University with my Bachelors
Degree in Elementary Education. I am very excited to begin my teaching career at Falkville Elementary. When not at school I enjoy exercising, going to the lake, and going to ball games.
Falkville Elementary has already proven to be a caring and welcoming school. I can not wait to to get this year started with the faculty, staff and my students.

My name is Miss Westmoreland, but I welcome the name of Miss W, too.  I was born and grew up in Cullman County, where I graduated from Vinemont High School.  In 2017, I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  This is my fifth year in education.  I am so exited to be joining FES this year in First Grade!  I look forward to our learning journey together throughout the year.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Crystal Williams. I am married and have three children. My husband, Austin, is a contractor and the owner of Williams Construction Company. He is also a pastor. This is my 12^th year teaching. I am a Falkville High School graduate, so this is where I call home. I attended Calhoun Community College to earn my associates in general studies and then finished at Athens State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

My hobbies are camping and going to the lake with my family. We love to ride on the boat and enjoy the water. My favorite way to relax is to read Christian fiction. I also enjoy grilling out on our back patio with friends.

Hello, my name is Melissa Wright.  I  have been working at the school for 22 years.  I started out part time as an aide, and then became the bookkeeper. I have been married for 35 years with three children and six grandkids.
