My name is Tracie Turrentine. I am the Assistant Principal at Priceville Junior High School. I have been involved in education for over 13 years. I hold a bachelor degree in K-6 Elementary Education from Athens University. I earned my masters degree in Educational Leadership from Samford University.
I taught Kindergaten, third grade, and fourth grade at Eva School in Eva, Alabama. While at Eva School I was awarded the honor of Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2013 - 2014 school year. I then subsequently became the Instructional Coach at Eva School and Lacey's Spring. When I am not at school, my favorite things are spending time with family, friends, and anything to do with sports.
I have been married to Josh Turrentine for over 10 years. We have a boy and a girl twins that are full of energy and keep us on our toes. Jayden loves basketball, soccer, and playing on the iPad. Joslyn loves gymnastics, volleyball, and playing dress up. When we are all together, we like to ride four-wheeler, go camping, watch sports, or play golf. We love being outside!
I believe that all children can learn but each child learns in a different way and at different rates. Our goal here at Priceville Junior High School is to reach every child and do it in a positive atmosphere. Keeping the atmosphere positive is the key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and parents. We feel that teamwork is the ultimate way a school can be successful in reaching the goal of helping a child attain his or her full potential.
