PHS results in the Morgan County Math Tournament held on Friday, March 15, 2024:
Q2/S1 report cards are now availalble in the parent and student portal.
Click on Student Reports. Then, select the report and submit.
Students who have Mrs. Matthews and/or Mrs. Livingston will receive their form from them. Anyone who does not have either teacher can pick up a form outside Mrs. Livingston's classroom.
Junior class field trip forms were distributed in history classes on Monday, March 4th. Forms are outside Mrs. Livingston's door for any juniors who do not have a history class at PHS. Forms are due back to Mrs. Livingston no later than March 20th.
Monday - Chalk it Up!
Brighten up our school! Write an inspirational quote or draw a beautiful picture on the sidewalk. Teachers and students are welcome to participate in free time and during lunch Mr. Hopkins will supervise.
Tuesday - Keep it Clean
Keep the halls, bathrooms, lunchroom, and classrooms clean to help out or custodians and lunch ladies.
Wednesday - Create a Card
Help encourage those who are currently sick or in a hospital by crafting a “Get Well Soon” card. All cards made will be delivered to Decatur Hospital. You can find supplies and a drop off spot for cards in the Ag room.
Thursday - Volunteer Trip
One member per school organization will participate in a volunteer trip to The Terrace Assisted Living. They will spend time with the residents and help out with their game of “Trade or Stay”
Friday - Random Acts of Kindess
Once you have completed all of your Connected Campus assignments, spend some time performing Random Acts of Kindness!
All junior girls and their parents were emailed a copy of the 2024 Alabama Girls State Preliminary application on March 17, 2024. The deadline to submit completed applications to one of the school counselors is 3:00 p.m. on March 27, 2024.
The deadline to order a yearbook or senior ad is March 28! Extras will NOT be ordered
From Calhoun Community College Warhawk Ambassadors:
We will start accepting applications for our organization on April 1st. We are looking for stellar students from high schools throughout the community to join our organization. Students chosen to serve as Warhawk Ambassadors will receive a partial scholarship equivalent to six semester hours during both the fall and spring semesters.

Calhoun and Athens State will be hosting a two-week art camp (June 5-9 and June 12-16) that is free to ages 15 to 19. Students will work with the professors at The Alabama Center for the Arts. The theme this year is Art Buffet! Twenty-four applicants will be selected and applications are due in April. Please see Mrs. Walldorf to pick up an application and information about the camp.
