Substitute Teacher Application - Please Note: The Substitute Application needs to be completed and delivered to the central office. Upon delivery, candidates will be required to complete other forms and receive additional information, including background check materials. All candidates must submit to a background check and attend a Substitute Teacher Orientation Meeting in the Spring or Fall. All paperwork, orientation, and background check must be completed before employment as a substitute teacher.

All applicants for teaching positions must hold a valid Alabama Teaching Certificate and be Highly Qualified in the area employment is sought.
The Child Nutrition Program needs substitutes at several schools. The work day is 6 ½ hrs and the pay is $50.00. Please call the cafeteria manager at the schools listed below if you are interested. Applications will be received at the Morgan County Board of Education at 1325 Point Mallard P'way in Decatur. A background check will be required by the State Dept. of Education.
